Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information TickIQ ("we", "us") collects when you use tickiq.com and our related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short: we collect what we need to run the Service, and we don't sell your personal information or show you third-party ads.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Google sign-in: new accounts are created by signing in with Google. We receive your name, email address and Google account ID. We don't receive your Google password.
- Account details: email address and username. Accounts created before we moved to Google sign-in may also have a password (stored only as a secure hash) and a phone number.
- Things you create: watchlists, alerts, chart drawings, preferences and feature requests.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, and support tickets, including any screenshots or files you attach to them.
Payment information
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We keep a record of your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan, billing status and renewal dates.
Information collected automatically
- Usage information: the pages and features you use and your AI usage, so we can enforce plan limits and improve the Service.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, and server logs, which we use for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. When you report a problem we also record your browser, screen size and time zone with the ticket.
- Free-trial records: when a free trial is started we store one-way hashes of your email address, Google account ID, IP address and a random ID kept in a cookie on your browser. We use them only to enforce one trial per person, and we keep them after an account is deleted for that reason.
2. How we use your information
- To create and run your account and provide the Service.
- To protect your account and stop abuse such as repeated free trials.
- To process subscriptions and payments.
- To send service emails, such as support replies, password resets, trial reminders, receipts and billing notices. We don't send marketing email without your permission.
- To answer your questions and feature requests.
- To keep the Service secure, fix problems and improve it.
- To comply with the law.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run TickIQ. They are allowed to use it only to provide their service to us:
- Stripe: payments and billing.
- Twilio SendGrid: sending email.
- Google: sign-in with your Google account.
- OpenAI: generating AI analysis. We send market data and the text needed for the analysis, not your account details.
- X Corp. and Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram): publishing TickIQ's own posts to our own accounts. We send them our posts and images, never your personal information.
- Our hosting and database providers: storing and running the Service.
- Content delivery networks that serve our fonts and code libraries, which see your IP address when your browser loads them.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply. Market data providers do not receive your personal information.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of essential cookies: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in (for up to 30 days) and security cookies that protect forms. We also store some preferences in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
5. Social media
TickIQ has accounts on X, Facebook and Instagram. Their own privacy policies cover what you do on those platforms. When you follow a link in one of our posts, it passes through a short tickiq.com/s/… address:
- Once the page has opened in your browser, we add one to an anonymous daily count of clicks for that post. We don't record your IP address or set a cookie for this, and the count can't identify anyone.
- The link's code is kept in your browser tab's session storage (cleared when you close the tab). If you create an account in that same visit, we record which post brought you, linked to your account. It is deleted with your account.
Our Facebook app only publishes TickIQ's own posts to TickIQ's own Facebook Page and Instagram account. It does not read or store anything about you, even if you use Facebook or Instagram to reach us.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons (such as billing records) or to prevent fraud. Server logs are kept for a limited period.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your account and personal information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To make a request, email staff@tickiq.com from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Deleting your data
To delete your TickIQ account and the personal information we hold about you, email staff@tickiq.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my data". We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, as described in section 6. This also covers our Facebook app: it holds no data about you (only TickIQ's own Page and Instagram account), so there is nothing else to remove.
9. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
11. Children
TickIQ is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll tell you by email or in the Service before they take effect.
